Highlights of our activity

Our Research farms are located in many parts of the country :

1. Bettiah ( Bihar ) : 10 acres

2. Dabilpur, Hyderabad ( A. P ) : 15 acres

3. Huvina Hadgali ( Karnataka ) : 2 acres

Every year more than 500 hybrids of yellow corn are being tested in our research farms
Over years BISCO has created top class genetic material in corn and collected good amount of germplasm in pearl millet , sorghum , sunflower & vegetables.
Yellow corn hybrid , Kohinoor is identified and released by Government on India for zone - IV & zone V after five years of initial and Advanced trials.
Sorghum Sudan Grass Hybrid --- SSG - 1001 has undergone 5 years of initial and advanced trials and is in process for release by Government of India.
Bisco is conducting research, apart from corn , on sunflower, pearl millet, sorghum and vegetables also.
